My Style: What goes around comes back around

Hey guys! It has been so busy here with Christmas only moments away! I haven't done half of the shopping that I should have and I have a few Christmas parties coming up (including tonight) so my days are filling up fast. But I wanted to take a minute and post some outfits from the past week.

I didn't get very many pictures because I was running super late but I wanted to post it because A: I love this blazer and B: these were actually the last outfit post pics I took before I got rid of my hair.

These pics were more recent. I have actually had those pants forever, but I wasn't able to fit them for a while but since I've been working out I figured I'd try them again before I tossed them and they fit! I was a very happy girl. Also, I've been wearing my glasses recently while I wait for my new contacts to come in but they are taking longer than I would like.
I tried something new with my hair and while I liked it (it was a french braid accross my hair in back into a bun) by the end of the day, my shorter hairs were falling out so I may need to rethink it for next time.
Well I will have to leave you now but don't worry I'll be back. In the meantime think on this, what is the thing you want most for Christmas? Let me know!

My Style: Ta-da!!! My New Hair

Hey guys I am FINALLY adding these pics of my new haircut. In these pics I had curled it because I wanted to try something new. The boyfriend really liked it so I might have to try it again, although I can't say the same for my shoes (I think he thought they were too manly but they are comfy so his opinion doesn't matter lol). The first set of photos were what I wore to work and the second were what I wore to the movies (New Years Eve, it was cute). These were taken on Friday which of course means dress-down day (at least in my mind) so don't think I'm just a sloppy dresser everyday.

Well there you go my new hair-do. It's taken some getting used to and although I love it, it does have its drawbacks. But you'll get to see fun new hairstyles as I take this journey to good, healthy hair.

Guess what today is?! It's Taylor Swift's birthday!!!! Make sure you send her some love on her Twitter, etc.

She's Got the Write Style: Zooey Deschanel

Has anyone seen the new show "The New Girl"? I love that show. At first I was kind of confused by Zooey's behavior but now after watching it for a while I love her! And the guys on the show are too funny! Well, in honor of her great TV comedy I decided to feature her in my She's Got the Write Style.

The first main aspect of Zooey's style is dresses. She loves short cute everyday dresses and skirts. Even in her everyday life she can more than likely be seen rocking a cute summer dress. Here are some shots below.
Zooey Deschanel: Dresses

Next, is her love of tights. Colored or black she rocks them with skirts, dresses, shorts you name it. And she of course always looks stylish in them.

Zooey Deschanel: Tights
Lastly, no Zooey Deschanel outfit would be complete without her signature look, her bangs. Whether she is rocking an updo or keeping it cool by wearing it down, her hair can be found with bangs to complete the look. I personally love her hair. It is so rich and thick. Take a peek below to see what I mean.

Zooey Deschanel: Bangs

So there you have it. The style of Zooey Deschanel.
Side note: I absolutely love Justin Long, ever since he starred in She's Just Not That Into You, so when they introduced him as her love interest I was hooked. I can't wait to see how their relationship progresses.

In other news I cut my hair and I love it! I will be posting pics here soon. I just keep forgetting to take outfit pics before I take off the outfit lol. Soon though, I promise.

Lots of love,

Breaking Dawn pt. I

Breaking Dawn pt. I
For today's post I wanted to do a review for something that I think by now everyone has seen, that is the new Twilight movie Breaking Dawn. I will try not to release any spoilers but if you haven't seen the movie yet and actually want to, you may not want to keep reading.

Ok, now let me begin by saying I love the books. I started reading them shortly after the first movie came out and I loved them. I breezed through and felt an emotional connection with all of the characters. And then I saw the first movie, and I laughed and laughed because of how bad it was. I mean, the acting was so stilted I couldn't connect with the characters and to me it just seemed cheap. I nearly gave up then. But because I loved the books I figured you know what I will give it another chance and I saw the second one. And I liked it. It wasn't going to win any Oscars but it was much better acting and I actually made it through the movie without checking my phone to see how much longer we had. And I eve like the third one. I thought, you know what these are getting better and better. The last ones are gonna be great. So I got with a bunch of friends and we decided to go the Friday that it opened. And ok you guys I'm just gonna say it, it was awful. I didn't like it at all. And I will tell you why.

First, I felt like nothing really happened. And I know a lot of things went down but if you watch the preview I got what the movie took two hours to tell in the 5-10 minute preview. So I felt like they kind of threw this movie together as a filler until the last movie comes out next year.

Second, that scene with the wolves (if you've seen it you know what I'm talking about) where they are talking through their minds. I literally laughed out loud. It was so ridiculous!

Third, Bella pregnant is disgusting. Everything about it was just gross. When she threw up I almost did as well and when she drank that blood, gag me! There are jus tsome things I don't ever need to see. Oh and the sex scene just should not have happened, period the end.

Now before you go and think I hated everything there were things I liked. The wedding was actually quite lovely (not the dress so much, except for the back I loved the back!) and I thought that certain parts of their honeymoon were cute. Oh and of course Jacob at the beginning looked hot!

So there you go. My opinion of Breaking Dawn Part I. Could of been better, glad it wasn't worse. And the big question will I go see part II? You bet I will, I may have not liked part I but I still want to see how they ended it and I think that the best is yet to come. Stay tuned!

The Write Style: Christmas Parties

It's that time of year! Christmas is just around the corner and everyone is getting into the spirit. Shopping in abundance, eating cookies and watching classic holiday movies, and of course going to awesome Christmas Parties. I decided to do a post on what to wear to a Christmas party, mainly because I have one coming up that I had no idea what to wear to. I decided to go with something similar to the formal outfit below.  I chose the dress because silver reminds me of the holidays and wrapped gifts. And after choosing the dress the rest just fell into place. Here it is.

Christmas Pary Outfit formal
The next look is for a casual party or a party at a friends house. Most people, if it's casual, will have some sort of an ugly sweater contest and I thought this red sweater was the perfect start! (To really go over the top add battery powered Christmas lights, pom poms, and of course glitter!)

Christmas Party Outfit

The last outfit is a bit of an in-between. You can wear it as an alternative for either.

Christmas Party Outfits

So there you go! Are any of you going to any parties for Christmas? Let me know!

My Style: New wardrobe pieces

Last week I told you that I recently purchased some new items from Amazon and that I was waiting for them to come in well they finally came and I love them. I was going to split them all up into different posts but I just can't wait to share them with you all. Ok well, let's get started!

First, my new black bag. It's so gorgeous and structured! It's just what I need for work and for everyday. I have not stopped wearing it out since I've got it. I'm in love. Check it out below. It is the LUCCA Black Glamour Padlock Designer Inspired Shopper Hobo Tote Bag Purse Satchel Handbag w/Shoulder Strap
and it is amazing! And it was only $29.99!! It is so big that I can carry all my fave items around without it looking like it will explode.

Next, would be my new black oxfords. They are the womens casual lace up oxford shoes in black from Room of Fashion. I also got these on amazon and they are great. I have a pair of brown oxfords from Forever 21 that I got in my size (9) and they are so tight I can't really wear them for long so when I ordered these I got a 10 just in case, they are a bit big but I would rather have them big than small. I literally can wear them with anything and I that is something that I need.

Next, my Strip27 Velvet Penny Loafer Flats in leopard from Make me Chic. They are just what I've been looking for. The perfect blend of cute and comfortable. I also bought these in a 10 and kind of wish I would have got the 9 but they still work and that's what matters. So if you order these get them in your true size.

And lastly, my new Lace-Up Bootie Wedge in black from Go Jane. I have been seeing this shoe all over the blogs and on celebrities and knew immediately that I wanted a pair. They are heels which are appropriate for work but fun so that I don't feel too buttoned up. I searched everywhere but no one had what I wanted. Then, I found them on Amazon. They were adorable and perfectly what I wanted. The whole reason I ordered everything else in this post was because I was getting these and wanted to have a complete order (and let's face it I love to shop). These were the last item to ship and I have to say, they weren't what I expected. Now don't get me wrong I do like them but they are so much taller than I expected them to be. When I first pulled them out my initial thought was Oh my God I ordered hooker heels. Still I wanted to give them a chance and so I wore them to work yesterday. Initially I got them to wear with skirts and black tights to make my legs look super long but I decided for my first test drive I should probably go with long pants. Now, let me say this they are super comfortable and they are growing on me but if you are not a fan of sky high heels do not get these. Here is how I styled them for the first time. I really think they have potential and they are beautifully made I just don't know how to style them and I think that's my biggest problem. Anyone have any suggestions?

Well there you go, my new babies. I love them all and can't wait to incorporate them into my wardrobe, so stay tuned!

Can you believe it's already December?!

Lots of love,
