About Me

My name is Natasha and I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. I have two great parents and four sisters (who can sometimes get annoying but I wouldn't trade them for anything). After attending C.A. Burke Elementary School my mom decided to home-school my sisters and I until my sophomore year in high school when she enrolled us into Blue Ridge Christian School. I made a lot of great friends there but I didn't want to get stuck in one town so for college I began looking at schools in Florida because we would come here for vacations and who doesn't want to go to school in a vacation spot?!

I am now a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in Journalism with a minor in biology and chemistry. I began my college career as a pre-veterinary medicine major at Jacksonville University. But after taking a writing class my sophomore year I realized that my love for writing was more than mere fascination. So, I transferred schools and changed my major and now here I am. I am more in love with writing now then I ever was before.

I graduated last July and have been taking writing jobs ever since. My hope is to get a job working for either a magazine or newspaper and one day work my way up to editor. I have a strong drive and I know that I can make my dreams into a reality. I created this blog as a place to share all that goes on in my life from finishing college to beginning my life as a member of the work force. I hope you enjoy!

"Journalism can never be silent: that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. It must speak, and speak immediately, while the echoes of wonder, the claims of triumph and the signs of horror are still in the air."
