My style: A pop of color

Apparently we are getting a heat wave in Florida because it is almost Thanksgiving and today's high is 86 degrees! I cannot believe it. So while I would love to pull out my scarves and sweaters it just hasn't been practical so far. Although last week I was able to pair a scarf with one of my outfits (trust me it was hot but I really wanted to wear it). Here are two outfits that I wore last week. Both outfits I kept pretty neutral except that I added pops of color to spice them up. I hope you like!

Also, the boyfriend finally got his couch and loveseat so I went over on Saturday and we watched Captain America while I decorated the couches with pillows and throws that I got a while back. There is still so much more to do to the living room but here is what the couches look like, consider this a sneak peek lol.

She's Got the Write Style: Taylor Swift

In honor of my recent adventures at the Taylor Swift concert (which was AMAZING by the way but more on that later) I thought I would do a she's got the write style using her. Taylor isn't well-known as a trendsetter but she does have great style. Below I've shown some of her key elements.

First, her hair. She has incredible hair. She almost always wears it in ringlets which gives her that country all-american girl feel.

 
Next she is a lover of dresses. Being that she is tall she wears a lot of knee length dresses. At her concert, her entire wardrobe was made up of dresses. And she looked beautiful in them. Here are some shots of her in her dresses.
 
Lastly, Taylor's style would not be complete without her guitars. She knows that no true country singer is complete without one and she has at least 3 or 4 for every concert. I especially love her bedazzled one, if I could play I would def want one like that lol.

 
Well there you have it Taylor's style in a nutshell.  I took so many pics at the concert but I have yet to download them so I'm going to try to do that this evening and will hopefully have them up on here by Friday. Trust me, you'll love them!

Pinterest Post: It's that time again

The write style: Outfit for the Fair

Last week I went with my bestie and our boys to the fair. It's held downtown every year and the boyfriend got four free tickets from his job so we decided to go. It was kind of a chilly evening but it was still nice enough that I was fine with a sweater and some boots. We had so much fun!! The best part had to be the pig races that we saw when we first came in. They were little baby pigs and they were just adorable and some of them even swam! My least favorite part the ferris wheel. I'm usually not afraid of heights but there is just something about ferris wheels. I mean how do they get those huge wheels to fit into a tiny trailer?! It just doesn't seem safe lol. But I did it, I overcame my fear (not really) and rode it.These pics are from the ferris wheel. Can you tell my smile is fake lol? Oh, and you can't see my hand cuz I'm holding on to the pole for dear life.

My Style: Monochromatic and a hair idea

I found this hair tutorial online and it taught me how to create curls without heat. To check out the tutorial click here. The first time I tried it the curls didn't come out too great but I rolled them tighter nad ever since they have turned out spectacular! I've used this hairstyle tons of times since first learning about it. And if you have medium to long hair you should definitely try it out. Here are some of my pictures so that you can see the before and after. Enjoy!

 These were all the before shots before I went to bed. It looks uncomfortable but it's really easy to sleep on.

And this is in the morning! All I did was take out the headband no curling or anything. I love easy hair ideas.
My bestie and I have been gearing up for the Taylor Swift concert this Friday. I cannot wait!! We've been making posters and t-shirts in preparation (and our boyfriends have no idea what to do with us lol). I will definitely post pictures of our poster and the concert, so don't worry. Is anyone else going or been to Taylor's concert for the Speak Now tour? If so, any advice?

The Changing of the Leaves

I think I told you earlier this week that I was on vacation last weekend in Atlanta. I had a blast there (even though I was sick) and I would definitely go back. I used to think Atlanta was just too big but it has so many cute suburbs that I could be perfectly happy staying in the outskirts and only going into the city for short fun trips. Oh and to all those who live in Atlanta, you have so many colleges there!! I'm not kidding it was insane. Anyway, here are some pics that I took of the gorgeous leaves. The colors didn't some out like I wanted them too but still, you get the picture. And for all of you who live where the leaves change, let me just enjoy this for a minute lol.
