My Style: Just a Quick Post

Hey guys I can't stay long but just wanted to quickly post a few pictures still left on my camera. I'll be back next week with something new.

It's Friday!!!! The boyfriend will be in Orlando this weekend for the all-star game so I am going to have to amuse myself. We'll see how that goes lol.

As I was going through my camera that I recently found I came across these pictures that my sister took for me from right before I lost my camera. Anyway, this will be a short post but here you go!

I loved the outfit but don't think it photographed well.

I'm thinking of going back to my style challenge days because I've been in a bit of a rut fashion wise. What do you think?

My Style: Power trip

Whenever I wear this suit I feel like it’s my power suit. I instantly feel like I can run the world and it makes me happy. I had an interview yesterday and so I wore this suit. Not sure yet how the interview went but I know I brought my A-game because I had my suit on lol. 

I was also wearing my new good luck charms. For Valentine’s Day the boyfriend got me these adorable pair of earrings and so I wore those as well hoping they would bring me luck. We’ll see. I made him this gift basket of the Bourne Trilogy because he had never seen them (I know sad right?) plus some other things, but after getting the earrings I felt pretty bad. I thought we had both agreed to keep it small but apparently that was just me. He really liked the basket so I guess I did all right but next time I may have to make sure we are both on the same page.

Other than that we had a great Valentine’s . We decided to make it a whole weekend worth. On Saturday evening we went and saw Safe House (because that was boyfriend’s movie of choice) and it was actually very good. Then on Sunday he surprised me and took me to dinner at Mitchell’s Fish Market (which was delicious) and then to see The Vow (because that was my movie of choice) I cannot even begin to tell you how disappointed I was with that movie (I may have to do a review just to vent).  Then on Valentine’s Day we exchanged gifts and we made dinner together and just sat around the house. It was relaxing and just what we needed. Plus, we got to skip all of the Valentine’s Day madness! 

What did you all do for Valentine’s Day?

Oh and in case you didn’t know It’s FRIDAY!!! I swear I almost love Fridays more than Birthdays (almost).

This guy...

This guy is one of the main reasons I can smile when waking up on a Monday.
He encourages me to seek God and to live a more God-centered life, while he in turn does the same.
He knows just what to say when I'm freaking out about something trivial and knows when to act when it's something that I can't handle alone.
He encourages me to go for my dreams even when they seem so far.
He tells me he's proud of me almost on a daily basis.
He makes me laugh just by the silly faces he makes.
He takes my breath away and causes my heart to jump just by entering the room.
He tells me I'm beautiful, not just when I'm all dolled up but when I'm...let's just say not dolled up :)
He is the apple of my eye, the cheese to my macaroni, the peanut butter to my jelly and I can't wait to spend Valentine's Day with him!

There are so many more reasons why this guy is amazing but I think you get the idea ;)

The Write Style: 2012 Spring Trend ideas

Spring is fast approaching and if any of you are like me you are already dreaming of the great outfits you can come up with for the warmer weather. Well, this post is here to help you. I have compiled a list of the top 5 trends for this spring. They are:

1.      Colorblocking: It was huge last year and will continue to be this spring so if you haven’t tried the trend yet there is still time.

2.      Fringe: It seems like all of the celebs are wearing it. It can turn any outfit into a boho chic one in seconds. I’m not huge on fringe but even I have a purse with it on there. Don’t be afraid to try something small.

3.      High low dresses and skirts: This is one trend that I didn’t know about until recently but I think it is so cute! I may have to take a trip to Forever 21 to pick up that gorgeous red skirt shown in the pictures.

4.      Peplum: Another trend I am dying to try. It reminds me of the Mad Men era and I love the clothes from then. Not to mention that the dress in the picture is only $17! I may have to get myself one.

5.      And lastly Babydoll dresses: This trend I’m not too crazy about. I mean I love the look of it but because of my build (I am biggest in my chest) I think it will just look slutty on me. But to all those who can pull it off, the style is super adorable so go out and try it. 

Well, there you go the spring trends for this year. Go ahead and give them a whirl. I’m sure you’ll love them.

My Style: Midi skirt

Anyone who knows me knows that I have been jonesing for a midi skirt for a while now. Ever since I saw it on Kourtney Kardashian a while back I knew I had to have one. Well, I was looking through my fave blogs and came across this picture of one of them in a midi skirt and I thought THAT IS IT! So I just started going through everyone's closet until I found the perfect one in the back of my Mom's closet (seriously she has the best stuff tucked away). I brought it out and this is the outfit that I got from it, well a combination of this post and this post. Oh and no I didn't find my camera, I stole my sis' again lol. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy a new one. Any suggestions?

Oh and for anyone that lives in the Jacksonville area, they are finally building an H&M at the Avenues Mall!!!! I am beyond excited!!

So there you go some outfit ideas for Valentine's Day. I'm still trying to decide what I'm going to wear. I'm leaning towards the black dress idea because last year I went all out with a pink dress so I kind of want to tone it back a bit this year. I'll try to post pics of what I choose!

Pinterest Post: Fashion inspired

I know you are all having withdrawals from not being able to see my outfits since I've lost my camera and if we're being honest I miss being able to show you (one day I want to look back on all my pics and see what I dressed like back in the day).
